Truth is that there are no strict rules in choosing the size of ceiling plinths. It depends on your individual preferences. The plinths with the size 70 mm and more are often used in the rooms with high ceiling (apartments, hotels, restaurants etc.). It is important to remember that such kind of plinths can visually make the ceiling lower. That’s why in usual rooms it is reasonable to use the models with the width 20-35 mm. Middle size plinths (40-60 mm) are mostly used in the rooms with the height of the ceiling 2,5-3 m. In general, the most popular models are the plinths with the size between 35×35 mm and 50×50 mm.

It depends on you. Actually, both ways are possible. If you choose the first way, before putting wall papers on the wall you should design the ceiling together with the plinths, then fill the cracks, and paint the plinths if you want. Then you can place the wall papers to the wall. Please note: this method is quite hard and requires some qualified skills, but it allows making ideal ceiling space and hiding all shortages and cracks. By the second way you attach the plinths upon the wall papers. You can easy and quickly manage it by yourself without professional workers, but you should be very careful and accurate, because drops of glue can leave the traces on the wall papers.
